Odyssey Marketing Automation Update
Last updated: May 20, 2024
We had an exciting update with our 9/6 software release to Odyssey, our marketing automation solution which lets you bring your marketing efforts across multiple channels (email, social, and website) onto the same canvas.
The first is incorporating our existing DFP (DoubleClick for Publishers) integration onto the Odyssey canvas. DFP, or Google Ad Manager as it is now known after a June ’18 rebrand by Google is a commonly used software platform that lets publishers manage and deliver ads on their websites. You can read more about our standalone DFP Integration on our blog for more details on the functionality and the setup. As of 9/6, you can now drag the DFP element onto your marketing canvas to add display efforts to your complete marketing voyage.
The second new feature introduces continuous voyages to Odyssey. Previously each voyage was a single, start to finish effort which drove your audience through the sequence and then ends. The 9/6 update lets you save an audience query using behavior, demographics, etc where an individual will continue to enter that particular voyage. This opens up Odyssey to use for welcome series, reengagement efforts, and drip marketing efforts. While much of this email automation is already available using our legacy Email Builder product (Omail), adding in the ability to incorporate social and on-site personalization while also including a user-friendly drag-and-drop experience helps expand your marketing efforts across multiple channels in a single platform.
